Welcome to this forsaken planet
A planet of dust, a planet of heat,
A planet comparable to an inferno
Where winds and fire compete
And yet it got a forlorn history
A history that wants to be told
A history of legends, myths
And tales several epochs old
If you want to know more, then take this journey
And ride on scorching winds across Inferno
Forsaken and broken, dead and bleak
Wrapped in an atmosphere of dryness and heat
Yet it became an abstract painting besides Hadetius‘ glow
A composition so strange, no one could contrive
Haunting but beautiful, a sea of colours that came to life
When scorching winds blew across the broken plains of Inferno
Where once magnificent architecture was found
Shattered ruins decorated the broken ground
Highlighted by damned signs so faint and low
Marks from a bygone reign
Which became visible over again
When scorching winds travelled through the forgotten times of Inferno
Despite this silent and dead surface
Something stayed alive, deep inside
Something unlike any known life
Something that had to hide
And guarded by these scorching winds of Inferno
Inferno! Inferno!
Thy blazing winds shall reign
Let them loose, let them free
The carrier of thy pain
Inferno! Inferno!
Thy blazing winds shall reign
Let them ravage, let them destroy
The carrier of thy bane

Watchers From The Skies

Dusk – Initiation of the lunar phases
The moonsiblings awoke
The last lights illuminated the skies
Before they vanished under the nightly cloak
Three Moons began to rise
And as the last ray of light died
They took over the rule
Of the planet’s dark side
Malo, Norma, Veli!
Show yourselves!
Malo! You’re so intimidating in your size
You almost covered the entire skies
Norma! Your shine could match the light of a star
So beautiful but also so very afar
Veli! You were hiding again
Invisible unseen for us unworthy men
From sunset to sunrise
You’re the watchers from the skies
Night – Dominion of complete darkness
The moonsiblings were in control
They spread their blackened wings
To capture every fleeing soul
Blackness, fearful but beautiful
Drawn to their nocturnal gleam
In this darkest hour
They shall reign supreme
Dawn – Termination of the lunar phases
The moonsiblings fell asleep
And waited until the next night
Where the shadows would fall deep
From sunset to sunrise
You’re the watchers from the skies

Hadetius awaken from his slumber
The darkness vanished as if torn asunder
It enlightened a structure of dead stone
Of spiral towers and of a semi-elliptical dome
Dust got whirled up on a large scale
And formed itself to an odd veil
The mist fondled with the tower’s peak
As if there was an answer to seek
From mist to dust, from dust to mist
To the place where the sun and the dome had kissed
A place where only the dead walked alone
A place where every living turned to dead burned stone
Slowly the mist immerged the area into diffuse light
Crept along intricate geometric patterns towards the entry side
It poured out from dry fountains into basins filled with old clay
Flowed up the steps and through the mighty archway
Silently the mist walked the endless passages and halls
Watched by cold eyes of carved guardians across the walls
Followed the signs of an ancient tongue all across the place
And drifting deeper and deeper into the centre of the maze
From mist to dust, from dust to mist
To the place where the sun and the dome had kissed
A place where only the dead walked alone
A place where every living turned to dead burned stone
And deep inside it began to whisper
A tongue that has long been considered dead
It was waiting for someone to hear
For someone to listen to what was said
From mist to dust, from dust to mist
To the place where the sun and the dome had kissed
A place where only the dead walked alone
A place where every living turned to dead burned stone
When mist enshrouded the ruins of lateua
Spirits of the past began whisper their curse
When dust enshrouded the ruins of lateua
Spirits of the past began chanting their verse
